- It is possible introduce an artificial delay on the link, so could display an image with the caption 'I was here yesterday'.
- Customisable maximum zoom-in levels. Stop a user zooming in more than city level. (World, Country, Reigon, City, Street and House levels)
- Optional auto-update feature: the map can update as you move about, or remain static.
- An unlimited number of trackers can be viewed on each livelink
There are a number of types of livelink, each useful for different applications:
Simple html
A simple html livelink is ideal for mobile phones and pda's, where both the screen size and bandwidth is limited. Insert the link as a bookmark in the browser, and view the position anytime!
The size of the map is configurable, depending on the size of the screen on the mobile phone or pda.
Html
The html livelink is idea for viewing in a normal web browser. A tracker list is provided on the left hand side, and will automatically update the position if this option is selected. The user can move about the map, and select individual trackers if desired.
Kml
This livelink produces a standards compliant kml file, which can be viewed in a number of different kml viewers. The most common kml viewers are Google Earth and Google Maps for Mobile.
Image
An image livelink is an actual map image with your trackers in view. This could be added to your blog or facebook page, and will be updated each time a user views the page. It could be added to your signature or profile on forums, or anywhere you can place an image.
It can be included in html like this:
<img src="{livelink url}" alt="motortrace trackers" width="{width}px" height="{height}px" />
